Title: Vehicle Parade
Submitted by Leesa
We concluded our unit on transportation with a " vehicle parade" . Several
days before we would hold a parent workshop (pre-k) and parents would
bring large boxes to school. We would provide paint and construction
paper and a few other extras. The parent and child would work
together to build a vehicle. We had some of the cutest cars,
planes, buses, fire trucks, trains. We even had a telephone
bucket truck. The dad work at the phone co. and was one of
our best parent volunteers. We had parents help other students
build cars that parents could not attend. We also had children
carrying a parade banner and musical instruments. We paraded
all around the school and out by the fence line so the traffic going
by could see!! It was a wonderful time for all
